Fred van Setten
Fred van Setten is co-founder and partner of Strategy Partners, a market analytical and strategic consultancy agency in the field of ECM issues and change processes. He has over 20 years of experience in relation to problems in the field of corporate change combined with ICT innovations. He was first introduced to this specialty when he was user project leader for the new systems of the Algemeen Burgerlijk Pensioenfonds in the eighties. In the nineties he was ultimately responsible for the operational management of the Immigration and Naturalization service and dealt with considerable reorganizations, the privatization toward agency and the introduction of workflow and document management based information systems.
After 14 years he entered into business. After he had laid the foundations for an ECM activities program at Logica he became partner of consulting agency Gyata Management Consulting. Here he was project manager and advisor in change courses for among others government organizations and service companies. After having worked for Gyata for a number of years he joined the management team of the ICT organization of the former Employment Policy. Besides managing he also counseled the privatization and sale to Capgemini. After the take-over he continued as strategic ECM advisor and program manager at Capgemini. Four years ago he founded the Dutch branch of Strategy Partners, together with Hans Kaashoek and Hans Vlak. He counsels clients in all sectors in the field of strategic choices, contracts, introducing (ECM) systems and executing quality audits. For a number of assignments he was responsible for the successful implementation of large-scaled ECM projects as project leader or program manager. Moreover, for many years he has been writing articles about the expertise of improving data flows, project management and ECM possibilities in various professional magazines. He is regularly invited to speak at conferences.
